Director of Sweetiee Weds NRI, Hasnain Hyderabadwala, Gets Into An Ugly Spat With Producers

Last Friday, the team of Sweetiee Weds NRI unveiled the trailer of the film in presence of the cast and the producers Dhaval Patel, Cyrus Dastur, Sada Bhuvad and Tariq Mohammed. One person who was missing from the launch was director Hasnain Hyderabadwala, which was unarguably surprising.

The event started three hours behind schedule and the reason for Hasnain's absence given by the team was that he is stuck in traffic.

Now SpotboyE tells you the real reason for Hasnain’s absence from the event.

The story dates to the time when the crew finished shooting the film. A source close to the film said that Hasnain had a massive showdown with the producers over who would take the creative decisions regarding the film's post-production and final edit.

Added the source,
“The producers literally forced Hasnain to step down as they didn’t want to involve him in any of the decisions regarding the post-production and edit. and went on to take the charge.”

And then? “However, the producers got mixed reviews about the film from people in the industry. Their well-wishers told them that they should get Hasnain back on board, which is why they extended an olive branch and invited him for the trailer launch,” revealed the source.

But Hasnain was in no mood to patch up.

The event got over, and Hasnain was "still stuck up in a traffic jam".

We called up Hasnain to confirm the story. He did not deny it, but refused to elaborate on the same.

Sweetiee Weds NRI stars Himansh Kohli and Zoya Afroz in lead roles. The film is set to hit theatres onJune 2, 2017.
